Wendy Evans graduated in 1987 from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Broadcast Communications and Government. Wendy ultimately became a news reporter, assigned to the "police beat," which led to her interest in law enforcement. Wendy was recruited by the Jefferson County Police Department (now the Louisville Metro Police), becoming an officer in 1989.
The Chief of Police learned of Wendy’s background in Communications and she served as Public Information Officer during her last three years with the police department. In this role, Wendy responded to major crime scenes, traffic accidents and SWAT operations. Wendy often assisted the Office of the County Judge Executive with press releases and served as spokesperson for many of the volunteer fire departments in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Wendy was recruited by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and became a Special Agent in 1997. Wendy specialized in white collar crime investigations, including bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, mortgage and health care fraud cases.
The events of September 11, 2011 had a profound impact on law enforcement officials, particularly in the State of Florida. Wendy, like all FBI Agents, joined the fight against domestic and international terrorism and was soon assigned to the Foreign Counterintelligence Squad in the Tampa Division/Orlando Resident Agency, where she served until she departed the FBI in 2004.
Wendy spent a year after leaving the FBI with the Orlando-based company Specialized Medical Investigations, obtaining her All-Lines Adjuster License and conducting complex medical investigations.
In 2006, Wendy joined Lockheed Martin as a Security Manager and then became an Ethics Officer. She currently serves as one of two Senior Corporate Ethics Investigators for Lockheed Martin's Corporate Headquarters. In her Security roles, she managed internal investigations, counterintelligence programs, and crisis management teams. She also supervised local business security services.
Wendy is passionate about workplace safety and the positive workplace environment. Wendy established Security Impact Group, LLC in 2013 to share her experiences, knowledge and expertise with you.
